That flashing nugget of gold,
One can see from a mile,
Is only outdone my dear,
By the brilliance of your smile.

It hangs between your breasts,
So heavy as I hold it near,
Studded with a single diamond,
A star of love shining clear.

What mountain gave it life?
How long lay it in the deep?
Till some ancient movement,
Roused it from it's sleep.

What stream bore it playfully?
Whose eyes beheld it first?
Men may desire gold,
It's you I want the most.

Adoring you it's bearer,
My heart has found it room.
And like that shiny object,
Will always be at home!
